Bhavisha was first introduced to Yoga at the age of 13, and since then, the practice has always had a presence in her life. Whilst Yoga was an important part of Bhavisha's daily life and routine, her connection to her practice grew much stronger in 2017, after she was diagnosed with an anxiety and stress induced Hiatus Hernia and GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease). Prior to her diagnosis, Bhavisha had graduated from University, and was at a place in her life where she was navigating the working world to establish her career in the Creative Industry. Behind the scenes, she was also addressing feelings of grief after the loss of her grandparents. After being stuck in an unfulfilling job and pressurized environment for a number of years, Bhavisha's stress and anxiety became more intense, and her health began to deteriorate. She was at a crossroads of how to move forward; she could either live a life taking medication and undergo a major surgery for her Hiatus Hernia, or, she could regain control of her life once again.

For six months, Bhavisha committed to a strict diet and routine of regular exercise and Yoga. During this time, she fell in love with her practice even more, and managed to astound her doctors during her pre-operation consultation, when she demonstrated that she was able to manage her symptoms and stress, and not let her condition define the way she lives her life; thus eliminating the need for surgery all together.

Seeing first hand just how much her Yoga practice, and change in lifestyle, could benefit her life, both physically and mentally, Bhavisha decided to train as a Yoga Teacher, and gained her 200-hour qualification in April 2022 with Vital Yoga School, where she trained in Classical Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa.. Since then, she has gone to do further training and has completed her 20-hour Yin Foundations with The Yoga People, as well as her full 85-hours in Prenatal Yoga, through Arhanta Yoga Academy.

To this day, Bhavisha lives a happy and healthy life, whilst continuing to grow her community through her weekly online classes, as well as offering in-person classes at Hotpod Yoga, Ruislip. She is passionate about helping those seeking to find peace, strength and deeper connections within themselves.
